Research and Development
With an emphasis on innovation, Adam Equipment has always focused on designing and manufacturing its own scales and balances. Our research and development is based primarily at its head office in Milton Keynes, Great Britain.
Adam Equipment engineers recently created what they believe to be the smallest force restoration mechanism in the world that can be fitted with their patented internal calibration system, both of which were designed and prototyped in the United Kingdom. This approach resulted in a compact design, enabling Adam to manufacture a product with a smaller footprint. This helps preserve the environment by consuming fewer raw materials, using less packaging, and reducing transportation costs. By incorporating the latest materials into its design, Adam improved the performance and increased the weighing capacity of its scales and balances, enhancing customer experience and boosting the company’s global product offering.
Adam Equipment holds several patents and design protections for scales and laboratory balances, which is evidence of the company's continued commitment to innovation and to providing improved quality products for its end users.
By investing in its manufacturing capabilities, Adam Equipment is able to make the complete weight mechanism at the company's own production facilities. Products are designed and built to ISO 9000 standards and tested to meet regulations for EN45501-2015, OIML R76, and NTEP Handbook 44 where required.
The company’s U.K. engineers work closely with independent test laboratories around the world to create trade approved products that can be used in retail and medical settings, or other regulated environments.
