ADAM EQUIPMENT INTRODUCES DRIVERS FOR NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS LABVIEW
NI Software Drivers Simplify Data Collection From Adam’s Lab Balance Lines
Adam Equipment, a world-class manufacturer of mass measurement equipment, today announced the release of LabVIEW instrument drivers for Adam’s PW, PGW and ACBplus balance lines. These drivers enable seamless integration of the balances in automated laboratory testing, data collection and analysis. The LabVIEW drivers can be downloaded for free from the NI Instrument Driver Network at www.ni.com/idnet.

“Data collection is getting more sophisticated every day as simultaneous and automated processes become the norm,” said Alan Storey, Managing director of Adam Equipment. “LabVIEW has revolutionized the way engineers and scientists integrate various instruments and equipment in the lab, and we are pleased to have LabVIEW instrument drivers that make it easier and faster for users to get the most from our three key lab balance lines.”

PW Analytical Balances deliver the ultimate in speed and accuracy with 0.1mg precision. The line boasts a spacious, easy-to-clean weighing chamber with side and top access plus internal motorized calibration. The PW line includes three models, ranging from 120g to 250g in capacity.

PGW High Precision Balances offer durability and simplicity with the same features as PW balances and an array of pre-programmed weighing applications including percentage, net/total, below-balance, and specific gravity determination. The PGW family encompasses 16 models, ranging from external cal 150g x 0.001g model to a internal cal 4500g x 0.01g model.

ACBplus Portable Precision Balances combine versatility with reliability for basic lab work, field use, and various industrial applications. With multiple weighing modes, RS232 interface, rechargeable battery pack or AC operation, capacity tracker, removable draft shield, and numerous other smart features for maximum performance, the ACBplus line has seven models, from 150g x 0.005g to 3000g x 0.1g.

The LabVIEW graphical development environment helps engineers and scientists create flexible and scalable design, control and test applications. Using LabVIEW, engineers and scientists can interface with real-world signals; analyze data for meaningful information; and share results through intuitive displays, reports and the Web.
