Flying high with Adam Equipment scales
The Netherlands - The Beekse Bergen Safari Park in the Netherlands keeps an eagle's eye on its birds of prey. When workers needed to weigh two of their eagles, Lady Maya and Aquila, they turned to Adam Equipment and one of its dealers for a solution.
Working with Wil Hoogeveen at Facet BV in Holland, Adam Equipment supplied the materials to create a special scale to measure the birds' weights and regulate feeding and food intake. Trainers monitor the birds' weights, because too much food interferes with their performances at the park.
The AE 401 indicator and stainless steel platform were ideal because the scale can be used outdoors. Its remote indicator is easy to read, and  because it is IP 67, the AE 401 can be washed down or sprayed. The scale's animal weighing/hold function, combined with the durability of Adam products, help provide consistent top-notch performances by the birds.
