New PW and PGW Balances’ Innovative Features Simplify Complex Weighing Applications
Adam Equipment, a world-class manufacturer of mass measurement equipment, has released a new line of AP science balances. The introduction of the PW analytical and PGW precision balances demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to bringing the latest in weighing technology to its customers.

The new PGW precision balance is extremely versatile with 17 weighing units (including 1 custom unit) and 7 weighing modes including percentage weighing, check weighing, net/total formulation, and parts counting. Teachers can customize the PGW by switching any weighing modes and units on or off to make the student-user experience as simplified or feature-rich as desired. An oversized backlit dual display allows simultaneous viewing of weighing data alongside user-selected reference data (such as functions, menu prompts, piece weights, time, or date) while the capacity tracker alerts of any approaching overloads. The machine’s smooth contours divert spills and its solid aluminum construction, sealed keypad, and removable stainless steel pan all provide added defense against chemical spills. Password protection software prevents unauthorized use and an integral mounting point for a KensingtonTM type lock and cable secures the balance. A bi-directional RS232 interface allows for data to be sent to printers or PC’s while a second port enables future communication expansion. With eight capacity/readability configurations and the option for internal calibration or external calibration for each model, there is a PGW perfect for every precision balance need. Range from 150g x 0.001g to 4500g x 0.01g.

The new PW analytical balance is designed for school lab work where higher readabilities are needed. In addition to all of the features of the PGW, the PW also has a smartly designed weighing chamber that provides improved access even when the balance is part of a crowded equipment set-up. The PW analytical line offers three capacity options (120g, 180g, and 250g) and all models have a 0.0001g readability. All models features automatic internal calibration.
